Summary of changes and additions with respect to version R741:
- When opening old projects, an info message appears. The user can choose to open the project, make a backup copy before opening, or not open the project. In any case, opening the project causes a conversion to the latest version.
- In addition to the function to import a database or license file via drag and drop, new menu items have been created. These menu items can be used to import and manage license files and databases.
- In addition to the standard Eaton material database, a user material database can be used. This makes it possible to create your own material and manage it independently of the standard material database.
- The following measures have significantly improved the use of the Configurator's memory (RAM):
- The Configurator application can use more than 2 GB of memory when used on 64-bit operating systems. The configurator itself remains a 32-bit application for the time being.
- When the Configurator is started, not all xEnergy systems are read in (Basic, Light, Safety, Main). As a result, considerably less RAM is used when the Configurator is started. Only when creating a project with a specific system are the necessary rule set files loaded. In addition, the start time of the Configurator is significantly reduced.
- A separate program instance is used for each open project. By reducing it to one project per instance, the required RAM is limited to this project.
- When creating elements in the Configurator, more memory was used than was actually required for the new elements. The memory requirement is now kept to a minimum even after a new element has been created.
- Unused (e.g. old) material databases are always closed and removed from the RAM.
- No longer needed memory will be released as soon as possible to always have as much memory available as possible.
- The speed of duplicating sections / enclosures and entire distribution boards equipped with components has been improved.
- The speed of component creation has been improved under the following circumstances:
- A module is selected in which there is still sufficient installation space available for the new component.
- A component is selected that is installed in a module in which there is still sufficient installation space available for the new component.
- If the distribution board or the project is selected, either the last element found as installation location or the last selected element is selected.
- If the currently selected element is not suitable for installation, either the last element found as the installation location or the last selected element is selected.
- If a panel / enclosure is selected, it is searched first as before for the installation space.
- The new Multiple Selection option allows multiple elements to be selected together and then deleted or copied and pasted.
- Fixed a bug that caused the location names to be duplicated.
- Fixed an error that occurred when opening a project copy created with the Save As function.
- The incorrect display of the category names "Flat Copper" and "Stabilizer/Supporter" in the shopping cart was corrected.
- In the shopping cart errors with the categories were corrected, by the error articles in the shopping cart were not correctly displayed or hidden.
